Professional quality genuine two-part (2k) clearcoat for carbon fibre parts resulting in a highly polishable yet scratch-resistant coating with excellent resistance to chemicals and fuel that provides UV protection to the underlying carbon fibre.
For new carbon fibre parts with pinholes or microporosity, FANTOM CLEAR CX’s high solids content and low surface tension can fill pinholes and achieve a smooth finish in 3-4 coats.
Available in 400ml cans in GLOSS, SATIN and MATT finish.

FANTOM CLEAR™ CX is a professional quality, genuine two-part (2k) paint system optimised for the clearcoating of cosmetic carbon fibre parts. The resulting coating is highly polishable yet scratch resistant, with excellent resistance to chemicals and fuel, making it suitable for use in proximity to fuel fillers, engine bay and exhaust systems.
FANTOM CLEAR™ CX’s high solids content and low surface tension means it reacts less to small pinholes and microporosity common in carbon fibre parts, helping the paint to overcome such surface defects and achieve a smooth finish in typically 3-4 coats.
Importantly, when applied to carbon fibre parts, FANTOM CLEAR™ CX provides important UV and chemical protection to the underlying carbon fibre, significantly reducing the risk of yellowing or fading. Additionally, FANTOM CLEAR CX can be used to restore cracked, faded or discoloured carbon fibre parts (see TDS for correct preparation procedure).
GLOSS, SATIN, or MATT
FANTOM CLEAR CX™ is available GLOSS, SATIN and MATT versions, each providing a completely different look to your carbon fibre parts.
GLOSS

SATIN & MATT
- More subtle and understated

How to Use
Whilst FANTOM CLEAR CX™ has been developed to overcome small pinholes and microporisity, best results (in the least coats) will be achieved on parts with a good surface finish. Clearly visible pinholes or voids should be filled with a clear epoxy resin or pinhole filler before painting.
Main Coat
- Key part with abrasive paper
- Wash thoroughly with soapy water and rinse
- Apply a light dust coat (GLOSS only)
- Apply two full coats (SATIN and Matt; one full coat)
- Cure fully
Optional Finishing Coat
- Flat surface, wash and rinse
- Apply a final full coat
- Cure fully
As a genuine 2k paint in a case, once activated, the can must be used entirely within around 48hrs.

Yes, as long as the paint is fully cured, and then given a key and clean for surface prep, it should then get a good bond.
