Used to partially restrict resin flow into a laminate during resin infusion, the inclusion of an MTI Valve can help to prevent excess resin syphoning into a laminate before the resin feed is clamped off.

An MTI Valve provides a consistent regulated backpressure to the resin feed lines, the primary advantage that this brings it that the resin will never syphon into the infusion which can potentially lead to resin rich laminates and inconsistencies in the part, it will act to almost shut-off the resin once the part is infused opening the time window in which the feed lines can be clamped, reducing the amount of monitoring required.
These valves are single use so are considered a consumable they have tapered hose tails and can be used with tubes ranging from 6mm to 12mm internal diameter.
How to Buy
MTI Valves are sold individually, volume discounts are automatically calculated.

Further Information
Increasing Consistency
MTI Valves maintain a consistent back pressure which in turn leads to consistent fibre fractions and infusion times. Traditionally backpressure is maintained by the height of the feed bucket however is some circumstances it may not be practical to position the feed bucket lower than the part and so the MTI valve offers greater flexibility.
Self-Regulating
At the end of an infusion the vacuum level inside the bag will dramatically decrease at this point the MTI valve will almost entirely stop the flow of resin meaning that the time window for clamping the feed lines is greatly increased and in certain applications clamping can be eliminated altogether.
Typical Use
The MTI Valve is used in the resin feed lines between the part and the resin bucket, it is particularly useful where positioning the resin feed buckets below the part it not possible. The hose tails are compatible with resin feed lines with an internal diameter ranging from 6mm to 12mm. We suggest additionally sealing the hoses to the valve with sealant tape as otherwise there is the slight possibility of a small leak past the moulding flash line on the valve.

MTI Hose would be used where the vacuum needs to be maintained around the perimeter of the part, the hose format allows it to follow the corners and contours typically found on the perimeter of a mould more easily than the MVS Strip. MTI Hose is the premium version of the MVL Hose, the MTI in the most part serves the same role as the MVL hose however the membrane used is superior and will completely prevent resin ingress over prolonged periods and end-sealing is easier and can be effectively achieved using only sealant tape.
MVL – Is a low-cost alternative to the MTI Hose, the MVL in the most part serves the same role as the MTI hose however the membrane used does not completely prevent resin ingress over prolonged periods and end-sealing is slightly more difficult and requires either heat-sealing or a combination of sealant tape and duct tape.
MVS is used where vacuum is needed in the centre of the part rather than the perimeter, being flat form it does not cause a 'print-through', this is available in 2 widths; 100 and 300mm.
