P400 Mirka Novastar FLEX Flexible Hand Sanding Sheets

Mirka Novastar FLEX sanding sheets use genuinely impressive abrasive technology which results in highly flexible and durable hand sanding sheets which can be bent, folded and flexed without the abrasive surface ever cracking or flaking, meaning no sharp edges or loose abrasive fragments whilst hand finishing patterns, moulds, primers, gelcoats and more.

The super flexible sheets are designed for hand finishing of complex or curved surfaces where sanding discs and conventional wet-and-dry abrasive paper would struggle.

The excellent abrasive compound used on the sheets provides the perfect balance of cutting and scratch pattern and is easy to clean from dust, lasting longer and resulting in a superior finish in the minimum time.

The sheets measure 130mm x 170mm but have a perforation down the centre to allow them to be easily torn in half.

The back of the sheet has a Grip material which makes the sheets easy to grip by hand or allows easy and secure attachment to a sanding block.

Dry or Wet Sanding

Although intended by Mirka for dry sanding, we have also had great success using Novastar FLEX sheets for wet sanding, finding the abrasive coating to be just as resilient wet or dry, making these excellent sanding sheets even more versatile.

Suitable Materials

Novastar FLEX sanding sheets are suitable for use on most hard materials, including top coats, polyurethane, epoxy and PU tooling board, board sealers, epoxy and polyester gelcoats, pattern coats, primers, clear coats/lacquers, epoxy resin, carbon fibre, primers, most plastics, wood and MDF.

The sheets listed on this page are P400, suitable for coarser sanding operations but Novastar FLEX sheets are also available in P600, P800 and P1200.
