Professional quality resin catch-pot designed and manufactured by Easy Composites in the UK. This expertly engineered catch-pot is designed to provide years of trouble-free service even in the busiest composites workshop.
The catch-pot is manufactured from a 2mm wall steel tube and base, powder coated for a hard wearing, chemical resistant finish. The sturdy catch-pot features a laser-cut 10mm clear acrylic lid (to allow good visibility into the pot), non-slip rubber feet, a heavy duty custom-made silicone rubber positive seal, high quality glycerine-filled vacuum gauge and airtight resin line and vacuum line connections.
The catch-pot is designed to accept Paper Liners which can be easily replaced to avoid fouling the inside of the pot.
To ensure the catch-pot provides years of service, replacement lids, silicone seals and catch-pot liners are all available to buy separately.
Typical Uses
This resin catch-pot is designed specifically for small to medium scale resin infusion projects.
The catch-pot sits between your vacuum pump and the resin infusion project ensuring that any excess resin from the infusion is not drawn down the vacuum line and into the vacuum pump, preventing damage or total destruction of the pump.
The catch-pot has a see-through lid so that you can keep an eye on resin accumulating inside the catch-pot (in catch-pot liners) and includes a barb-type fittings to allow easy connection of the vacuum line and an easy-to-tighten fitting for the resin line from your infusion project (hoses not included).
Each catch-pot is vacuum tested before shipping.

Fitting/Thread Information
The lid is connected to the vacuum pump via the 8mm brass hose-tail barb connector using a 8mm ID Silicone Vacuum Hose.
The vacuum bag or resin infusion project is connected to the catch-pot by through the black plastic gland nut. The gland nut is also designed to accept a 9mm OD hose, such as our 6mm ID Clear PVC Hose. The gland type fitting allows the hose to be pushed through into the catch-pot, minimising mess and splatter, and insuring the lid stays clean and clear.
To ensure a permanent, reliable and airtight seal the lid of our catch-pot comes with the vacuum gauge, gland connector and hose-tail barb (push) fitting already screwed and bonded into place. Although not designed to be removed, the vacuum gauge and 8mm hose-tail barb both screw into the lid using a 1/4 BSP thread.
We also sell the Glycerine-Filled Vacuum Gauge, 6mm ID (9mm OD) Clear PVC Hose, 8mm ID Silicone Vacuum Hose and Hose-Tail Barbs separately.

... If so, I imagine it'll only be for small quantities of resin?
Although designed primarily as a catchpot, there is no reason why you could not use it to degas small amounts of resin (taking into account the resin expands as it degasses).
You would need to use a small offcut of 6mm hose and a line clamp to seal the lids resin inlet gland.
The base of the pot is 120mm square. The cylinder has an internal diameter of 99mm. The overall height is 150mm for the pot alone and 245mm for the complete assembly including lid and base feet.
